Welcome to Missouri’s historic capital city! Jefferson City is the heart of the Amtrak Missouri River Runner route with the station’s location ideal for those planning a trip to explore downtown Jefferson City on foot. Here are upcoming holiday events you won’t want to miss!

Sip & Shop – Saturday, November 4

Get a head start on your holiday shopping as you sample from some of the best local breweries, wineries, and distilleries while shopping for that perfect gift. Tickets required to participate and can be purchased here. Tickets are $15 a person, and you must be 21 years of age or older to participate. Check-In will be at 228 Madison Street. Just look for the Downtown Jefferson City tent.

Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting – Thursday, November 30

Join JC Parks for entertainment, refreshments, and a visit from Santa Claus at the 17th annual lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas tree.

Living Windows – Friday, December 1

Gather your favorite people and head to downtown Jefferson City for Living Windows! Carolers, dancers, and live reindeer spread holiday cheer during this beloved JCMO tradition.

Candlelight Tours of the Missouri Governor’s Mansion – Friday, December 1 & Monday, December 4

Experience the glow of the holidays at the Candlelight Tours of the Missouri Governor's Mansion! Guests can view the executive residence by candlelight, adorned with sparkling lights and lush greenery. Tours are available Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Monday from 6-8 p.m.

Jefferson City Jaycees Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 2

Get swept up in holiday cheer at the 84^th annual Jefferson City Jaycees Christmas Parade! The heart of downtown will fill with holiday cheer as local bands play your favorite carols and dozens of festive floats travel High Street. Come early to snag your spot - and don't forget a bag to catch your share of the candy!

Capitol City Cinema Holiday Film Series – December 3, 10, 17, 24

Capitol City Cinema is excited to bring back the Holiday Film Series featuring some classic films on Sundays in December.

Join in the holiday tradition at the Jefferson City Public Schools Capitol Caroling event in the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda. Performances include traditional holiday numbers and special selections by the symphonic band, high school orchestra, and high school choirs.
