JEFFERSON CITY, MO, Wednesday, July 24 – The Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce another successful year for the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Track and Field Championships, held over the course of two weekends in May at Jefferson City High School.

Attendance for both weekends, including athletes, coaches, and fans, totaled approximately 24,000. Economic impact is estimated at $4,978,520, creating business for Jefferson City’s hotels, restaurants, and shops.

“Jefferson City has been the home for the  MSHSAA Track and Field Championships for many years. We deeply appreciate the partnership with the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Athletic Events Committee, and the Jefferson City Public Schools in making the event the premier showcase for high school track and field in the state of Missouri,” stated MSHSAA Executive Director Jennifer Rukstad.

The 2024 season marks the 48th year the MSHSAA Track and Field Championships have been held in Jefferson City.
