CELEBRATE THE SEASON
It’s the hap-happiest season of all and there’s no place like Jefferson City for the holidays! JCMO is a beautiful sight all year long, but add twinkling lights, cheer, and deliciously warm drinks and you are in for an extra treat. We’ve compiled some just-for-the-holidays events around town.
Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony - Kick off the holiday season with the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony! Join JC Parks for entertainment, refreshments, and a visit from Santa Claus at the annual lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas tree. Entertainment will begin at 5:30 pm and the tree lighting will occur at 6:30.
Candlelight Tours of the Missouri Governor’s Mansion – Experience the glow of the holidays at the Governor’s Mansion! This event showcases the residence in full holiday décor as it is adorned with sparkling lights and lush greenery. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting both evenings to meet and greet guests as they view the Mansion by candlelight. The opening ceremony starts Friday, December 3, at 6:00 pm when Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe will officially light the Mansion’s 30ft Missouri Christmas Tree! Guests are also welcome to bring any new or unused toys to donate to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
Living Windows - Downtown Jefferson City windows come alive for one of the community's most treasured and favorite events! Stroll the streets and experience holiday cheer as you enjoy an evening with carolers, live reindeer, carriage rides, dancers, food, and, of course, Santa!

This fundraiser is open to the public and all proceeds go to help local charities. Tour starts at Binder Lake Road off Rainbow Drive.
