Southside Philharmonic Orchestra Presents Baroque Concerto

The Southside Philharmonic Orchestra commences its 3rd season on Saturday February 16th in an annual collaboration with Columbia’s Odyssey Chamber Music Series: Baroque Concerto. This program features the winner of Odyssey’s second annual Pre-Collegiate Concerto Competition: 18 year-old pianist Henry Huang (student of MU Piano Professor Peter Miyamoto) playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3, op. 37, III (3rd movement). R. Paul Crabb will conduct the Bach Collegium Choir in a performance of J.S. Bach’s cantata King of Heaven, welcome. To top it off, SPO’s own Katie Smyth will play the Vivaldi Concerto for Piccolo in C Major.
