Back for its 11th year, Shelbyfest, has proven to be the most unique and exciting car show of its kind. The idea began when six Shelby GT500 owners got together to show off their cars, attracting passersby who shared photos and stories leading to the generation of the first Shelbyfest in Hermann, MO. Eventually the event grew beyond capacity and Shelbyfest organizer, Kyle Caraway decided to move the event to Jefferson City.
In its first year in the capital city, over 660 cars filled the streets of Downtown and organizers only see that number continuing to grow. This year's Shelbyfest will take place May 4-6 and include two days of autocross, a scenic country cruise, a Cinco de Mayo party, and the main event the "Show and Shine" on Saturday.
