Landing After Hours: Josephine Baker, Entertainer and Social Justice Activist

Josephine Baker began an international entertainment career by performing the provocative "banana" dance which exploited racial stereotypes. World War II and her activities as part of the French Resistance to Nazi Germany changed her persona to French patriot. Baker became committed to universal equality and spent the rest of her life trying to make it a reality. Join Dr. Debra Greene as she tells the story of this Missourian who had a worldwide impact.
