From 6:30-7:30 on Tuesday, March 4, 4th and 5th graders are invited to take part in this book group at the Missouri River Regional Library. Participants will read Crispin by Avi, this award-winning story of mystery and adventure is set in the middle ages and is full of twists, turns and treachery. Harry Bradley and Dan Woodward, “Missouri Perspectives” Art Exhibit

The Elizabeth Rozier Gallery, located inside Union Hotel at 101 Jefferson Street, will host Harry Bradley and Dan Woodward’s “Missouri Perspectives.” The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and admission is free. 14th Annual Capitol City Classic

"Steel Magnolias"- An American Classic from the Stage and Screen

The Capital City Players present "Steel Magnolias", a dinner theatre production at Shikles Auditorium, 1200 Linden Drive. The hilarious, touching, and ultimately deeply moving story of the beauticians and customers of Truvy’s Beauty Salon, who draw on their sense of humor, strength, and love for each other to get through the good times and bad in a small Southern town. A true classic not to be missed. Evening performances will be March 14, 15, 27, 28 and 29; doors open at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will be March 16 and 30; doors open at noon, lunch at 12:30 p.m. and the show starts at 1:30 p.m. Advance reservations are required; call (573) 681-9012 for tickets. Runge Conservation Nature Center Native Plant Sale and More

The Runge Nature Center, Jefferson City, will be hosting a Native Plant Sale with programs to assist you with your native plantings on March 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchase your favorite flowers and shrubs from the following native plant vendors: Hamilton's Native Outpost, MO Wildflowers Nursery, and Prairie Hill Farm Greenhouses. We will have crafts for all ages to round out the day.
